Secretary National Defence (SND) of the Philippines Visits Mumbai

Mr Delfin N Lorenzana, Secretary National Defence (SND) of the Philippines accompanied by his spouse and a six member delegation, are on a visit to Mumbai from 10 to 11 March 2018.

On 10 March, the SND interacted with Vice Admiral Girish Luthra, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief and other senior officers of the Western Naval Command. Issues of mutual interest including maritime security and stability in the Indo-Pacific, strengthening of defence cooperation, and enhancing training interaction were discussed. The delegation was also briefed about the Western Naval Command, and visited the indigenously built stealth destroyer Kochi and the Mazagon Docks Ltd.
