INS Satpura on Overseas Deployment to Brunei

To celebrate 25 years of INDO-ASEAN Partnership, INS Satpura arrived at Muara Port Brunei on 25 November 17.  The 4-day long visit is aimed to further strengthen the bilateral ties between the two nations and is one among an on-going series of artistic, cultural and people-to-people events to celebrate this important milestone in the INDO-ASEAN relationship.

During the visit, INS Satpura will engage with the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) in formal calls, and will have profession , social and sporting interaction in harbour.  INS Satpura will also exercise with RBN Ships and will participate in Passage Exercise (PASSEX) on her departure from Brunei.

India-Brunei defence relationship is a mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields including training, infrastructure assistance, bilateral exercises, HADR, counter-terrorism and maritime security. The ASEAN-India Defence relationship, the foundation of which were laid in the inaugural ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting Plus (ADMM Plus) in 2010, is also steadily deepening.
