Indian Naval Ship Tarkash visited Seychelles from 27 to 29 Oct 17 to participate in the International and Creole Festival at Victoria. Whilst the festival was a month long affair, Tarkash participated in the main event viz. International Parade on 28 Oct 17. A marching contingent, band and cultural troop from the ship took part in the parade. Indian Navy was the only navy to participate in the festivities. During the stay, the ship’s medical team examined patients at the old age home and the crew tended to the kitchen garden. A reception was also hosted by the ship in harbour. H.E. Mr Vincent Meriton, Vice President of Seychelles attended the reception.
