INS Gharial Enters Chittagong Port with Relief Material

As part of the humanitarian assistance being provided by the Government of India to Bangladesh as aid to Rohingya refugees, Indian Naval Ship Gharial arrived at Chittagong on 28 September 2017 with around 900 tonnes of relief material. The relief material in customised family packets contain essential items including rations, clothes and mosquito nets and is likely to cater to approximately 70,000 families. Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla, High Commissioner of India, Md Zillur Rahman Chowdhury, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Chittagong alongwith other dignitaries were present during the handing over of the relief material.
