8th Indian Navy - Indonesian Navy Staff Talks 04-07 July 2017, Indonesia
The 8th Navy-to-Navy Staff Talks between the Indian Navy (IN) and the Indonesia Navy (IDN) were held at Indonesia from 04 to 07 July 2017. The talks were co-chaired by Rear Admiral Dhiren Vig, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation and Intelligence) from the IN and Rear Admiral INGN Ary Atmaja, SE, Assistant Chief of the Indonesian Navy for Operations. The discussions during the staff talks included IN participation in the Malacca Straits Patrol, training cooperation, cooperation in hydrography, exchange of white shipping information, expansion of scope of cooperation in operational areas, cooperation in marine medicine, technical cooperation and subject matter expert exchanges in the field of Special Forces.
