NCS, Port Blair
Navy Children School was commissioned on 15 July 1996 with the intention to impart top quality education to the children of the Defence Community in Port Blair. It commenced its journey with 105 students and 5 teachers and educational facilities up to Class V.
Proposed Plan for 2015-16
- Commencement of Commerce stream from AY 2015-16
- Conduct of awareness workshop for students on Health and Hygiene, Child Abuses, Security, Road Safety, Cyber Crimes etc
- Conduct of outward bound excursions and field trips to heritage sites and rural areas
- Conduct of Career Counselling Programmes for students
- Conduct of Faculty Development Programmes (workshops, seminars, visits etc)
- Introduction of NCC
- Installation of CCTV with recording facility for safety and security of school
- Provision of Smart Boards for all classrooms
- Commissioning of school new building
