Passing out of MEAT-26

129 trainees of Merged Electrical Artificer Training (MEAT) Course passed out from INSValsura, the premier Electrical training establishment of Indian Navy on 03 Feb 21. The MEAT course spanning over 106 weeks, was conducted from 06 May 19 to 03 Feb 21 during which trainees were exposed to a broad spectrum of technology subjects and state of the art equipment like Radars, Surface and Sub Surface Weapons, Electronic Warfare, Control Systems etc. Commodore Ajay Patney, Commanding Officer INS Valsura, reviewed the impressive Passing out Parade held at the establishment. The Commanding Officer complimented the trainees on successful completion of their professional training and advised them that learning must be sustained so as to keep pace with the latest technological developments. He also spurred the artificers to be competent professionals and ensure that the platforms of Indian Navy are always Combat Ready. During the Passing out Parade, the Commodore awarded the Admiral Ramnath Trophy for ‘Best All Round Sailor’ to Ajay, EA(R)/ APP and Commanding Officer, INS Valsura Trophy for ‘Best Sportsman’ to Ankit Chauhan, EA(P)/ APP. Tejveer Singh, EA(P)/ APP of Power stream and Yuvraj Singh, EA(R)/ APP of Radio stream also received the Book prizes from the Commodore for standing first and second respectively in the order of merit in their individual streams.
