PASSING OUT OF DIRECT ENTRY ENGINEERING MECHANIC COURSE (60.942)

Direct Entry Engineering Mechanic Course (60.942), having a strength of 298 trainees, comprising 259 from the Indian Navy, 31 from the Indian Coast Guard and eight from friendly foreign countries passed out from the portals of INS Shivaji, the premier Marine Engineering Training Establishment of the Indian Navy, after successfully completing 25 weeks of professional ab-initio training. Jitun Kumar Biswal, LOG I (SC) was awarded FOC-in-C South Rolling Trophy for standing First in the overall Order of Merit. Deepak Kumar NVK (ME) was awarded Commodores Rolling Trophy and a Book Prize for being adjudged Best Sportsman of the course. M A Soobhan, PO of Mauritius Navy was adjudged first in the Order of Merit amongst International Trainees.
