For road journeys between stations not connected by rail, the actual bus fare or road mileage at the lowest rate as admissible under rules, will be reimbursed, on production of documentary proof (bus tickets) provided that the distance covered by road is more than 20 KM each way. 13. CSIR - N M L reserves the right not to fill up the post, if it so desires. 14. The selected candidate will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of taking over charge of the post. Th e proba tionary period may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Competen t Authority. After successful c omplet ion of probationary period, he/she will be considered for confirmation in accordance with the extant rules. 15. The selected appointee sho uld be ready to work beyond offic e hours whenever need arises to meet Laboratory schedules. 16.
