Passing Out Parade – DEME Course at INS Shivaji, Lonavala

177 trainees from Indian Navy, 38 from Indian Coast Guard and 10 international trainees passed out from Centre of Marine Engineering Technology (CMET) on 09 September 2017, during a Passing Out Parade reviewed by Commodore KP Arvindan VSM, Commanding Officer, INS Shivaji. The passing out trainees comprised of the Direct Entry Engineering Mechanic (DEME) Course 60.939, and the event marked the culmination of the 25 weeks of professional ab-initio training. Kamaljeet Singh, DEME stood first in overall order of merit and was awarded Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (South) Rolling Trophy. Sachin Kumar, DEME was adjudged Best Sportsman of the course and was awarded Commodore’s Rolling Trophy. In addition, Majaliwa Godlove Zakayo, LS, from Tanzanian Navy was adjudged Best International Trainee of the Passing Out Course.
