Naval Ships to be ‘Open to School Children’ at Visakhapatnam

As a precursor to the Navy Week celebrations, naval ships will be ‘Open to Students’ of various schools in the city and students will get a chance to visit Eastern Fleet’s frontline warships from 9 am to  5 pm on Sunday, 26 November and Monday, 27 November. During the visit, the students will be taken on a guided tour of the ships and career counseling will also be provided to those who see their future serving the Indian Navy.

School children in uniform and accompanied by their staff can visit the ships. Only Indian nationals will be permitted to visit the ships. The entry point for visiting the ships will be ‘Pallava Gate’, near Satavahana Bus Stop (Pipeline Junction), Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam. All visitors are requested to carry a photo Identity Card such as school ID card or Aadhar card. Further, visitors are advised not to carry any baggage, handbags, school bags, cameras and any electronic storage devices including mobile phones while entering Naval Dockyard.
