International Women’s Day celebrated at ENC

The International Women’s Day was observed at Eastern Naval Command on 08 March 16. On this day, all women employees visited the Teresa Children Home, Pedagantyada, Gajuwaka and interacted with the inmates. They also presented utility items for the inmates of the Home. A large number of Service and Civilian women employees of Headquarters, Eastern Naval Command were present during the occasion.   

International Women’s Day is celebrated across the world with great zeal and passion on 8th March every year to increase awareness about women’s rights and to address their social issues. International Women’s Day is celebrated annually using a particular theme and this year’s theme is “Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality”.
