Indian Naval Annual Musketry Championship - 2017

The Indian Naval Annual Musketry Championship (INAMC) was conducted from 07 to 09 November 2017 at the Classification Range at INS Shivaji. One team each from Western, Eastern and Southern Naval Commands, consisting of 27 shooters, took part in the championship. A total of five matches with different weapons (i.e. Rifle, LMG, Carbine, and Pistol) were conducted. The matches were conducted from different distances and firing positions with an aim to evaluate the competence of the firer in various positions and judge their speed and accuracy. Out of five matches, three were conducted in run and fire mode to simulate combat and two matches were conducted from a fixed distance of 25 metres to assess accuracy. Western Naval Command emerged overall champions and was awarded the INAMC -17 Trophy and Banner.
