World Environment Day Celebrated at Eastern Naval Command, Vizag

Indian Navy units under Eastern Naval Command celebrated World Environment Day on 05 June 2018 themed ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. As part of the celebrations, various activities like lectures, workshops, quiz competitions and seminars were conducted to spread awareness about hazardous effects of plastic pollution, reducing use and managing of plastic waste. In addition, a cleanup drive and plantation of 5,000 saplings were undertaken at various locations.
