'VISION UNPLUGGED' Essay Writing Competition conducted by Navy

As part of the Curtain Raiser for the forthcoming International Fleet Review scheduled in Feb 16, the Eastern Naval Command(ENC) organised an Essay Writing Competition ‘Vision Unplugged’, for School Children of Visakhapatnam on 31 October 15, at Navy Children School, Nausena Baugh, near Gandhigram, Visakhapatnam.  

Inter-School Essay Writing Competition conducted for the first time was held in two different categories namely Junior (VIII to X Class) and Senior (XI to XII Class) with different themes for each category. The themes included topics like “The role of Indian Navy in maintaining peace in the Indian Ocean Region” for the junior category and “Role of Fleet Reviews in Fostering Friendship and Brotherhood among Nations”.
 
163 students from 27 schools from the city participated in the keenly contested competition. Each participant was given a Certificate of Participation and the winners were given attractive prizes and will be invited for a ‘Day at Sea’ on 28 November 15 on Eastern Fleet Ship.
