Vice Admiral Viktor N Sokolov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Northern Fleet, Russian Federation Navy on a Visit to Karwar Naval Base

Vice Admiral Viktor N Sokolov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Northern Fleet, Russian Federation Navy along with four Staff Officers and Resident Deputy Defence Attache visited Karwar Naval Base, as part of India – Russia Defence Cooperation Plan 2019, on 19 November 2019. The Russian Deputy Commander-in-Chief was received by Flag Officer Commanding Karnataka Naval Area and given a brief on Karnataka Naval Area including Project Seabird and was conducted on a visit to shiplift facility in the Naval Ship Repair Yard (Karwar). The Russian delegation is scheduled to attend various meetings at New Delhi prior returning to Russia.
