INAS 350 was commissioned on 24 Mar 09 by the, then, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Nirmal Verma, PVSM, AVSM, ADC. Cdr S H Aga was the Commissioning Commanding Officer of the Squadron.

The Squadron is based at INS Dega, Vishakhapatnam and operates the UH 3H helicopters.
