Training Camp Concludes at Indian Naval Academy

209 cadets of IV and VII term participated in camps ‘Samudra-Manthan’ and ‘Varuna’ respectively, conducted concurrently from 07 to 10 March 2018 at Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala. The camp are aimed at developing esprit-de-corps, camaraderie, leadership qualities, physical endurance as well as mental strength under conditions of stress and to inculcate the Indian Navy’s core values of Duty, Honour, Courage. As part of the camps, the cadets undertook endurance runs, negotiated obstacles, carried out whaler pulling and sailing as well as seamanship drills and evolutions. The camps concluded with a triathlon, which included navigation through mixed terrain of over 20 kilometres followed by a long-distance swim and obstacle course. Braveheart Squadron won the Camp Banner for both, camp ‘Samudra-Manthan’ and camp ‘Varuna’. Vice Admiral RB Pandit, AVSM, Commandant, INA awarded the camp banners to Braveheart squadron and congratulated all participating cadets in his address.
