Singapore Takes Lead - Day 3 of Admiral’s Cup Sailing Regatta 2018

Singapore took lead on the third race day followed by Italy at close second and USA at third position in the ninth edition of Admiral’s Cup Sailing Regatta 2018 at Idian Naval Academy. Host country team, Indian Naval Academy, closely follows in the fourth position. The day saw one race of Group A, followed by two races of Final Series for the boats qualified in “Gold Fleet”.

In the men’s individual position, Midshipman Vincenzo Rocco  from Italy is leading followed by 1st  Lieutenant Ebrahim Showaiter from Bahrain in second position and 2nd Lieutenant Dillon How from Singapore at third. In the female individual position, Midshipman Jessica Mc Jones  from USA is leading followed by Cadet Francisca Mauricio from Portugal in second position and Midshipman Paula Kaminska from Poland in close third.

The ‘Admiral’s Cup’ and the Runners Up Cup will be awarded during the closing ceremony scheduled on 06 December 2018 at Ettikulam Bay, Indian Naval Academy. In addition, individual medals will also be awarded in the men’s and women’s category.
