Sea Dive Conducted for Trainees from Diving School Onboard INS Sharda, Kochi

In pursuance with the IndianNavy’s efforts to build 'Bridges of Friendship' through professional training, 16 trainees from the Diving School, including 10 from friendly foreign nations, undertook a 35 metres 'Non-stop Sea Dive' off Kochi on 08 April 2019. The trainees comprised Clearance Diving Officers of the Indian Navy, as well as foreign trainees from Bangladesh, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. All trainees successfully completed the dive, which is an essential prerequisite to qualify as a Clearance Diver. The Diving School annually trains approximately 30 trainees from friendly foreign navies.
