Scuba Diving Camp Conducted by NCC
A Scuba Diving Camp was conducted under aegis of NCC Directorate Maharashtra by 1 Mah Naval Unit NCC and Command Clearance Diving Team (Mumbai) at Western Naval Command Swimming Pool from 22 July 18 to 11 August 2018. A total of 50 NCC cadets of Army, Navy and Air Force from all over Maharashtra participated in this camp. During the camp, cadets were trained on activities like different styles of swimming, freefall into water from 05 mtr and 10 mtr diving board, Snorkeling, Fin Swimming and Scuba Diving at the depth of 18 feet etc.
Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Maharashtra visited the camp on 10 August 2018 and interacted with participating cadets. He appreciated the efforts of the organising team in flawless conduct of camp with adequate safety and opined that such adventure activities play an important part to motivate the youth to join the defence forces.
