Sail Parade to Commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at HQSNC

As part of commemorative activities in the 75th year of independence, a sail parade was conducted in Ernakulum channel, Kochi on 23 September 2021. 75 personnel including children from Navy Children School participated in the event. Vice Admiral AK Chawla, FOCINC, SNC was the Chief Guest for the event. INSVs of the Ocean Sailing Node (Mandovi), all sailing boats of INWTC (Kochi) and sailing whalers from Seamanship School took part in the sail parade, wherein officers and sailors of SNC showcased their talent. Hobiecat and 29er sail boats of NSRY, Kochi were adjudged as the best decorated sail boat on the occasion. The event was conducted under the aegis of Indian Naval Sailing Association (INSA).
