IN-Royal Norwegian Navy (RNN) Bilateral Discussions

A four member Royal Norwegian Navy delegation headed by Cmde Thomas Tor Wedervang, Chief of Staff, RNN visited India for bilateral discussions with the Indian Navy from 27 February 2017. Cmde Manish Sharma, PDFC, co-chaired the meeting from IN side.

This was the first of its kind bilateral discussion with the Royal Norwegian Navy. Following areas of cooperation have been identified: -
(a) Cooperation in training including cadet exchange programme, sail training experience and conduct of courses.
(b) Operations and exercises.
(c) Logistics philosophy.
(d) Participation in CBRN Exercise conducted by RNN.
(e) Reciprocal visits/ exchanges.

The RNN delegation called on RAdm Dhiren Vig, ACNS (FCI) on 28 February 2017. In addition, a visit to IMAC, Gurugram, was facilitated by the IN for the RNN delegation.
