Peninsular (Go Green) Motorcycle Expedition by 26 Equipment Depot Reaches INA, Ezhimala

A motorcycle expedition from 26 Equipment Depot, Air Force, Bangalore  comprising two IAF officers, five Senior NCOs, seven NCOs and one defence civilian, reached Indian Naval Academy on 27 February 2020. The 26 Equipment Depot, Bangalore facilitates specific to aircraft, repair, overhaul and issue of spares through Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to meet the operational requirements of Air Force units.

The objective of the motorcycle expedition is to promote ‘Fitness First and Go Green’ campaign and also spread awareness about the importance of trees and advantages of increasing green cover.

The first leg of the Expedition was flagged off on 26 February 2020 from Bangalore. The expedition on its second leg from Mangalore reached INA on 27 February 2020.The third leg of the expedition was flagged off by Rear Admiral Amit Vikram, Principal, INA on 28 February 20. The expedition is heading for Kochi, Trivandrum, Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, Thanjavur, Chennai and will finally reach 26 Equipment Depot, Bangalore on 05 March 2020 after covering a distance of 2,400 km.
