Passing Out of SAVO and BAVO Courses - School for Naval Airmen

A total of 30 trainees, including 04 Coast Guard personnel, successfully completed Specialist Aviation Vehicle Operator (SAVO) & Basic Aviation Vehicle Operator (BAVO) courses and passed out from the School for Naval Airmen (SFNA) on 06 April 2019. The impressive passing out parade was reviewed by Capt Arupananda Ghosh, the Officer-in-Charge, SFNA. The event marked the culmination of 08 and 10 weeks of intensive training training for SAVO and BAVO courses respectively, that comprised both theoretical and practical training on various vehicles.

Sharvan Ram Meghwal, LA (AH) and Raushan Kumar Singh, LA (AH) were adjudged first and second in the SAVO course, While Santosh Sadashiv Chougale, NA I(AH) and Alok Chandra Swain, NA I(AH) were adjudged first and second in the BAVO course respectively. Additionally, Shrawan Kumar , U/NVK (AH) and Ramjeevan Jat NA I(AH) were adjudged first in Skill test in SAVO & BAVO course respectively.

The trainees will now proceed to various Naval Air Stations/ Air Squadrons where they would will be employed for the operation of Specialist Vehicles viz. Crane, Forklift, CFT etc. for the movement of ordnance, stores and aircraft.
