Passing Out of Merged Artificer Apprentice Course (MAAC) XXV, INS Shivaji

112 trainees from the Indian Navy, five trainees of Indian Coast Guard and four trainees from friendly foreign navies comprising the XXV Merged Artificer Apprentice Course (MAAC) passed out from INS Shivaji after successfully completing 117 weeks of professional ab-initio training at the Centre of Marine Engineering Technology. The Passing Out Parade, held on 09 February 2018 was reviewed by Commodore KP Arvindan VSM, Commanding Officer, INS Shivaji. Abhilash K Payasi, LME stood first in the overall order of merit and was awarded Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (South) Gold Medal. Simranjot Sharma, LME was adjudged best sportsman of the course and was awarded Commodore’s Rolling Trophy and a Book Prize. Udd Chathuranga, APP/ERA from Sri Lankan Navy was adjudged first in order of merit amongst international trainees.
