NHCC 30 Valedictory Function Held at Naval War College, Goa

A valedictory function of the 30th Naval Higher Command Course (NHCC) was held at the Naval War College, Goa on 07 May 2018. Vice Admiral AR Karve, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Naval Command, the Chief Guest for the function, presented certificates to all participants and awards to the officers who had excelled during the course. Captain T Sugreev was awarded the Chief of Naval Staff Gold Medal, Captain Sandeep Kumar the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (West) Silver Medal and Captain Nitesh Garg the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (South) Silver Medal. The NHCC is conducted over 37 weeks and is attended by 38 Captains and equivalent from the Armed Forces. The course curriculum of NHCC covers a wide ambit of subjects with primary focus on International Relations, International Political Economy, National Security, Strategy and Policy, Higher Defence Management, Joint Operations, Operational level Planning and Wargaming, Military Technology, Logistics Management and Research Methodology. During the valedictory function, Vice Admiral AR Karve also released the China Compendium, which was compiled by the College, and is a collection of research papers on various aspects of China and its military.
