Navy Volleyball Championship 2017-18

The Finals of Navy Volleyball Championship 2017-18 was held at Southern Naval Command (SNC) Indoor Stadium, Naval Base, Kochi on 22 September 2017 in which Western Naval Command (WNC) defeated SNC (3-0). Rear Admiral Ravindra Jayant Nadkarni, VSM, Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command, who was the Chief Guest gave away the prizes. The Navy Volleyball championship is an annual event in which teams from the Western, Eastern and Southern Naval Commands participate. The championship also provides a basis for selection of best players to represent the Navy in the forthcoming 67th Inter Services Volleyball Championship scheduled to be held in end Oct 2017 at Kochi.

The championship for 2017-18 was held from 18-22 Sep which was organized by the Signal School. Interestingly, it is the first time since 1987 that WNC have emerged as victors. The SNC team had been winning the event for the last five years.
