Naval Band Performance at Kochi

As part of Republic Day celebrations the Southern Naval Command Band performed a Symphonic Band Concert at Lulu International Shopping mall from 1800 to 2000 hours for the large crowd gathered to witness the enthralling performance by the Navy band at the mall for the first time. Being one of the finest band of the Indian Navy, the band performed a wide range of repertoire from western classical to Indian pop.

The Malayalam medley and Hindi vocals were well appreciated by the audience and the highlight of the show was the presentation Joy of life by Cores and the patriotic Songs. The involvement of audience in the performance of various numbers proved their appreciation and acknowledgement towards the rare opportunity to witness such a musical extravaganza by the Naval Band. The overall performance was aimed to instil patriotic fervour amongst the audience on the Republic Day celebration. The presence of the huge crowd throughout the performance confirmed that the Navy has won the heart of the audience by reaching out to them with such wide range of music performed by highly talented musicians under the baton of Lt Commander Manoj Sebastian.
