ISO Certified 'Noise and Vibration Cat-I Course' Conducted at INS Shivaji

INS Shivaji conducted the annual ‘Noise and Vibration Course’ from 16 April to 05 May 2018 in collaboration with M/s IRD Mechanalysis Ltd and M/s Aimil Ltd, with the aim to keep Indian Navy personnel abreast with latest technologies in the domain of vibration analysis. 13 officers and eight sailors were trained during the course and gained valuable insights on the latest techniques used for measuring noise and vibration onboard Indian naval ships. The ISO certified CAT-I course curriculum included several topics like basics of noise and vibration, predictive analysis, calibration and tuning techniques and measures to arrest shock and vibration of marine machinery.
