Inter Divisional Obstacle Competition Conducted at INS Chilka,Odisha

An inter divisional obstacle course competition was held on 31 May 2018 at INS Chilka with the aim to familiarise trainees with land fighting techniques, develop problem solving skills, provide physical training to build speed, stamina, strength and agility, inculcate self confidence and foster team spirit. 10 teams, comprising 250 trainees from 10 divisions participated in the competition, which included various activities like spider web and rope climbing, closing and opening of hatches, crawling, rolling and jumping. In the individual category, Avinash Kumar, SSR from Abhimanyu Division was adjudged the best trainee and Aman Kumar, SSR of Angre Division bagged the second position. Amongst the teams, Shivaji Division was the overall winner, while Ashok Division was runners-up. Commodore Manish Misra, Commanding Officer, INS Chilka presented awards to the winners.
