INS Tarkash visits Dakar, Senegal

INS Tarkash visited Port Dakar, Senegal, from 31 July to 01 August 2022 and was received at Dakar by officials of the Embassy of India, Senegal and Senegal Navy. Captain Abraham Samuel, Commanding Officer, called on Deputy Senior Officer to Chief of Staff, Senegal Navy, Captain Mamadou Ndiaye. During their interaction, matters of Mutual Cooperation and Training between the two navies were discussed. The Commanding Officer also interacted with Shri Nabha Kumar Pal, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of India at Dakar. The ship was kept open for visitors on 31 July 2022 where, members of Indian diaspora, were given an exclusive tour of the ship. The medical team of INS Tarkash interacted with crew of Africa Mercy, the largest sponsored afloat hospital involved in providing medical facilities to rural regions in African continent.
