INS Tarangini Visits Port Amsterdam, Netherlands – Harbour Phase

INS Tarangini is on a port visit to Amsterdam, Netherlands as part of Lokayan-18, a seven-month long voyage with the theme ‘Sailing through Different Oceans and Uniting Nations’. As part of harbour activities a reception was organised onboard, which was attended by personnel from the Royal Netherlands Navy, civil officials, and staff from the Embassy of India. The second batch of 30 officers of the 94th Integrated Officers Training Course embarked the ship for their sail training phase at Amsterdam and were imparted training on safety related aspects of the ship. The ship was open to visitors and the guests were briefed on sail training onboard and were given a short introduction to the Indian Navy. The stay in harbour was also used for preparation towards the Tall Ship Race 2018, maintenance and routines on machinery and repairs of the bowsprit as also the sails.
