INS Tarangini at Port Valletta, Malta

INS Tarangini entered Port Valletta, Malta on 20 May 2018 as part of her seven-month long voyage, themed ‘Sailing through Different Oceans and Uniting Nations’. During the passage from Jeddah to Valletta, the ship covered about 1,650 nautical miles and crossed over to the Mediterranean Sea through the Suez Canal. The ship encountered heavy seas on crossing the Suez Canal and the ship’s company utilised this opportunity to gain experience on setting sails and manoeuvre using sails. As part of the visit, official calls and interactions have been planned for the crew.
