INS Tarangini Departs Stavanger to Participate in Race 2 of Tall Ships Races - 2018

INS Tarangini visited Stavanger, Norway from 26 to 30 july 2018 as a part of Lokayan 18, a seven-month long voyage with the theme 'Sailing through Different Oceans and Uniting Nations'. During the stay, ship was visited by veterans of the 5th National Defence Academy course and Mrs Chrisitine Sagen Helgo, Mayor of Stavanger. The ship's platoon, consisting of Sea Trainees, was awarded the 'Best Dressed Crew' and 'Best in Crew Parade' during the Crew Parade Ceremony. The Ship was also accorded the unique honour of conducting the wreath laying ceremony to commemorate sailors lost at sea. The ship departed from Stavanger to Harlingen to participate in Race 2 of the 'Tall Ships Races 2018', which commenced on 30 July 2018.
