INS Chilka Conducts Marine Orientation Course for Border Security Force

60 Border Security Force (BSF) personnel successfully underwent Marine Orientation Course at INS Chilka from 22 July to 03 August 2019. During the Course, BSF personnel were instructed on various naval subjects like international rules for prevention of collision at sea, navigational equipment, chart, boat, anchor and rope work, survival at sea, rigging and boarding operations. In addition, regular sports activities between the BSF personnel and INS Chilka staff were also conducted during the course. Commanding Officer, INS Chilka awarded Certificates to the meritorious personnel. Constable Deepak and Constable Dinesh Kumar of 172 Battalion BSF stood first and second respectively in the course.
