Indian Navy organises Blood Donation Camp at Visakhapatnam

Blood Donation Camp was conducted at INS Eksila on 26 August 2021 as part of Swarnim Vijay Varsh and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebrations commemorating the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the 1971 War and the 75th year of India’s Independence. The blood donation camp conducted in collaboration with NTR Trust Blood Bank, Visakhapatnam also marks the 21st anniversary of INS Eksila. The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by Surgeon Rear Admiral Rahul Ray, Command Medical Officer, ENC. He interacted with the blood donors and appreciated their contributions to the noble cause. The event saw enthusiastic participation by 155 voluntary blood donors consisting of naval personnel and their families and civilian staff from INS Eksila and other units of ENC located at Visakhapatnam. The donated blood was handed over to NTR Trust Blood Bank, Visakhapatnam.
