Indian Navy Evacuates Stranded Train Commuters During Rains at Mumbai

The Indian Navy, based on a request from Western Railways, helped evacuate train commuters stranded at Nala Sopara station, Mumbai due to flooding of railway tracks between Nala Sopara and Vasai Road stations on the night of 10 July 2018. High chassis vehicles that could traverse the flooded areas and reach the stranded commuters were deployed for the evacuation.
