Indian Naval Ships Shakti and Kamorta  Visit Port of  Makassar,  Indonesia

In pursuance of India’s ‘Act East’ policy, Indian Naval Ships Shakti and Kamorta are on a visit to Port Makassar, Indonesia. As part of the visit Commodore Dwi Sulaksono, Commander, Main Naval Base VI called on Flag Officer Commanding, Eastern Fleet. Commanding Officer INS Shakti called on the Hon'ble Mayor of Makassar Mr Mohammad Ramdhan Pomanto. The commanding officer and crew of INS Shakti accompanied the Mayor and paid homage at Mahatma Gandhi memorial at Pantai Losari. In addition, a reception was organised onboard, which was attended by Dr Sumarsono Governor South Sulawesi and Mayor of Makassar and dignitaries.
