Indian Naval Dental Centre Danteshwari(INDC), a first of its kind dental centre providing world class multi-speciality dental facilities under one roof, was commissioned on 12 Deccember 2018 at Colaba, Mumbai. Surgeon Commodore (D) Bireshwar Mukherjee read out the commissioning warrant as the first Commanding Officer of INDC Danteshwari in the presence of Admiral Sunil Lanba, Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Girish Luthra, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command and Lt General SM Londhe, Director General Dental Services, while Mrs Preeti Luthra, President NWWA (WR) unveiled the commissioning plaque.

INDC Danteshwari became the first commissioned dental unit of the Indian Navy in order to meet the growing demand for quality of dental health care facilities in the armed forces, at par with international standards. With the expanding scope and demand for dental services, INDC Danteshwari will ensure that the naval community is provided the best and the latest in dental healthcare and practices. With the commissioned unit adding more clinics and specialist rooms, INDC Danteshwari will provide the serving defence community in Mumbai the benefits of a full-fledged dental hospital.
