Independence Day Celebrations at INS Valsura

The 75th Independence Day was commemorated with great pride and patriotism at INS Valsura. Commodore Gautam Marwaha, Commanding Officer, INS Valsura, laid a wreath at the War Memorial to honour the martyrs who laid down their lives defending the country and thereafter reviewed the Ceremonial Parade. Over a thousand Valsurians took part in the Parade, which was witnessed by a large number of spectators including ladies, children and family members. The Commanding Officer, in his address, highlighted the efforts of the martyrs and freedom fighters towards ensuring independence for India and urged the younger generation to put in similar efforts towards making the nation even stronger. In addition to the parade, select Officers and men of INS Valsura participated in a 75 km run to commemorate the 75th Independence Day.
