Governor of Andhra Pradesh on Maiden Visit to Eastern Naval Command

The Hon'ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Biswabhusan Harichandan, paid an official visit to Eastern Naval Command (ENC) Visakhapatnam on 31 July 2019.  The Hon'ble Governor was on his maiden visit to the ENC and was received by Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, ENC at INS Dega where Hon'ble Governor reviewed a ceremonial Guard of Honour.

The Hon’ble Governor held discussion with the C-in-C at HQENC and was given a comprehensive briefing on the capabilities of Indian Navy and the role and responsibilities of ENC.  Later the Governor was taken by boat on a harbour familiarisation sortie which was followed by a visit to the indigenously built stealth frigate INS Shivalik and a submarine where he was given a guided tour and an overview on the operational capabilities of the frontline units of the Indian Navy.  

Shri Biswabhusan Harichandan assumed charge as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh on 24 July 2019. The Hon’ble Governor is on a two-day visit to Visakhapatnam on official engagements.
