Fourth IONS Working Group Meeting on HADR Held at Mumbai

The fourth meeting of the IONS working group on HADR was held at WNC from 17 to 18 December 2019.  The two day event saw participation by IONS Working Group (IWG) member nations including Australia, Bangladesh, France, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Maldives, Oman and Thailand. During the event, activities of IONS were reviewed and resolutions from previous meetings were discussed in addition to sharing of experience during conduct of HADR operations. Indian Navy also presented a brief on Information Fusion Centre - Indian Ocean Region IFCIOR. A regional forum initiated by India in 2008, IONS seeks to increase Maritime Cooperation between the navies of the 36 littoral States in the Indian Ocean Region.
