Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Shouthern Naval Command Visits Maldives

Vice Admiral AK Chawla FOCINC SNC is on a four day visit to Maldives from 08 to12 July 2021.  He was received by Major General Abdulla  Shamaal, Chief of Defence Staff CDS, Maldives National Defence Force MNDF  at the Velena International Airport, Male on 08 July 2021. On 09 July 2021,  the FOCINC called on Major General Abdulla Shamaal, CDF, MNDF and later with Mr. Sunjay Sudhir, High Commissioner of India to Maldives and exchanged crests and mementos. Indian Naval Ship Sharda, from SNC, is presently deployed off Maldives and is also likely to make a port call to Hulhule during this period.
