Equestrian activities conducted by INPEC

Polo Tournament at Bangalore. The Indian Navy Polo Team participated in the Bangalore Polo season from 16-30 Aug 15. The team won the Banglore Polo Cup and was Runners up in Gyan Jyoti Cup. Cdr Akhil Sirohi was adjudged as the ‘Most Valuable Player’ of the season.

(a) Procurement of Horses. Twelve thorough bred horsed for IN Polo and Equestrian Contingent have been procured in end Mar 15 from Delhi/Bangalore Race courses.

(b) Polo Coaching Camp at Jaipur. Polo coaching camp is being conducted by IPA (Indian Polo Association) from 30 May to 20 Jun 15 at Jaipur. Eight players and twelve horses from INPEC are taking part in the camp and presently staying at 61 Cavalry, Jaipur.

(c) Children Riding Camp. A horse riding Camp for children was conducted from 17-26 May 15. The camp has witnessed heavy response with 98 children participating. The camp was conducted on Naval Horses at 61 Cavalry Ground, Delhi Cantt.
