Conclusion of MoU with IIT (Gandhinagar)

INS Valsura concluded a Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IIT (GN)) on 07 May 2018 with the aim to achieve excellence in the ever-expanding technological field. The agreement will provide Indian naval personnel an opportunity to undergo various PhD and M Tech courses at the institute, besides promoting cooperation in the field of academics, research & development, joint research and internship projects. The common areas of study identified encompass Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & IT, Aviation Engineering and Civil Engineering. Further, visits of the faculty and students of IIT (GN) to Indian naval establishments for gaining exposure to the indian Navy, as well as to initiate and undertake joint projects. The agreement was signed by Commodore Indrajit Dasgupta, from the Indian Navy and Prof Sudhir K Jain, Director, IIT (GN).
