Coastal Cleanship Campaign Conducted at  Naval Station Karanja, Mumbai

To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Naval Station Karanja conducted a ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’ and Coastal Cleanup campaign for preservation of the environment. Over 850 personnel from 16 Naval Units based at the Naval Station Karanja including Service Personnel, Defence Civilians, ladies from NWWA (Karanja), students and teaching staff from Navy Children School (Karanja) and Kendriya Vidyalaya (Karanja) participated in the event. The drive for removal of plastic and non-biodegradable waste along 4.5 Km long seafront helped maintain clean, green, serene and pristine environment at Naval Station Karanja.
