Camp Hamlawar Conducted at INS Hamla

Camp Hamlawar was conducted by INS Hamla at Dhodhani Village, Panvel from 19 to 23 November 2018. 342 undertrainee officers and sailors of the Basic Logistics Course participated in the camp. The aim of the camp was to develop esprit-de-corps, camaraderie, leadership qualities, physical endurance as well as mental strength. The trainees actively participated in various competitions like tent pitching, tug of war, tele-games, night navigation, trek and a disaster relief exercise. The camp culminated with 18 kms 'Josh Run'. As part of outreach activities, a free health checkup camp was also conducted at Dhodhani Village in coordination with local authorities. The trainees also undertook repair and maintenance of public infrastructure at Dhodhani and Tawarvadi villages and donated food items to the underprivileged. The camp concluded with a camp fire and cultural programme presented by the trainees. The best overall syndicate and winners of various events were awarded prizes by Commanding Officer, INS Hamla.
