Assistance to Tug Umang

On 08 December 2017, a tug named Umang, while on passage from Karwar to Mumbai, reported burn injury sustained by an engine room crew. INS Tarasa was despatched from Goa harbour to provide assistance to the ship. Tarasa closed the tug, embarked the patient by boat and evacuated him to Goa for further treatment.
