53rd Submarine Day Commemorated at Western Naval Command

Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command, laid a wreath on the occasion of 53rd Submarine day on 08 Dec 20 at the memorial at INS Vajrabahu in Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, to honour all submariners who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the Nation. He was accompanied by Flag Officer Maharashtra Area, Rear Admiral V Srinivas, the senior-most Submariner presently posted at Mumbai.

The Submarine Day commemorates the maiden unfurling of the Naval ensign on the erstwhile INS Kalvari at Riga, USSR.
